About Me

by Prithwiraj Sinha August 24, 2018
The LEGO Store 5th Avenue

Hi, I’m Prithwiraj and I am thrilled that you stopped by my corner of blogland. Unfortunately, this is not a “quit my corporate career / bought a one-way ticket” kinda blog!  You’ll find a tech-obsessed, financial security-lovin’, three-day-weekender who changes hobbies like pants! Currently, I am designing complex digital solutions as a Software Architect for a tech giant but I had very humble beginnings. I was born and raised in Silchar, Assam, India and for most of my life, I did what I was supposed to do – got good grades, went to college,  got my engineering degree, and landed a corporate job when I was 22.  I had to relocate to the opposite end of the country for my new job – a first time for me in an urban setting – and sights and sounds from Dil Chahta Hai kept coming into my head. I was traveling for work and for leisure, and my first bike gave me wings. I realized how much I love to wander around, trying out different cuisines, meeting new people and creating memories. A few years down the line, I was living in the United States with a well-paying day job, traveling almost every month, eating food I had only seen in food vlogs till then, mingling with people from other cultures and creating a lot of experiences worth sharing. My goal was just not to travel and party but to observe their ways, and to see what it’s like to be a local. I always had a hobby of trying out new hobbies. This blog is one of them. I hope to bless you with my humorous tales, travel recommendations, cool pictures, tech talks, food recipe, perfume gyan, movie discussions, life anecdotes, DIY stuff, chronicles of things that are more than just mere things and… random musings!

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.
Lao Tzu

Some random stuff about me:

  • I grew up in a small-esque town. With roosters waking me up every morning or mom shouting at my kid brother.
  • I like to create things. I like to know things. I like to do things. Whether it’s this blog, a unique mishmash recipe that has no name, t-shirt designs, or something important at work. Yeah, I code. I still do.
  • You talk movies, cricket, tech, stocks, career, life, personal finance, health, engineering. Talk!
  • I used to travel for food. Please don’t look me up on Zomato for my foodie misadventures.
  • I watched 237 out of the IMDB top 250 movies during my 3rd year in college.
  • I once ran down 71 floors in less than 20 minutes during an earthquake.
  • I like to plan, I like to research. So much so that if I plan to watch a movie at 10 pm, there is a good chance, I might still be researching on which movie to watch even after midnight.
  • My eyes are keen. And so are my lenses. Check out the photography section and do visit my gram.
  • I once jumped from a building to escape from the bobby. True story!
  • My teacher once told me –  You are a Jack of All Trades, master of none. I think I’m happy…er.
  • For job recommendations, just hit me up on LinkedIn.
  • I do magic in the kitchen. Have a seat!
  • Want to buy me a drink? Fruit juice on most days and on some occasions, a mojito.
  • I believe in the law of attraction.
  • Previous Stop – New Orleans. Next Stop – Bengaluru. Currently hibernating
